As the title and the actual first post suggests, it's not about the most expensive. Good luck getting from Rose Park to Port Adelaide in 35 minutes in the morning though.

Best can come down to more than just the prestige or the cost. Personally, I wouldn't live east. I like the area - and love driving through it, visiting the places, but it doesn't make me feel like living there.
I love 'Food and Stuff'. It's where I buy all of my food. And most of my stuff.

As Diss said, very subjective and it's not where I would choose to live.

Ive lived in Enfield, Taperoo, Davoren Park, Onkaparinga Hills, Andrews Farm, Munno Para West and Mount Compass and Id say Compass was the best (besides the drive to Regency Park for work every day).

Id say the place thats given me the biggest headache is my current residence at Munno (layout of block/shit neighbours). Davoren was not too bad, just didnt walk around at night.

Depends on your budget I guess.

If I had the money right now Id buy an older place at Peterhead/Birkinhead/Exeter and renovate, or buy a place at North Haven.

Gawler and the surrounds is pretty good. Quite often in the Port for work and travel time of 30-35 via Northern Expressway. Still got that country type atmosphere and quite a good place for kids

That's what I'd post. Expressway is bonzer.
We're near the racecourse, within distance of schools and a new shopping centre is going up.
Five minutes to the Expressway and then 30 minutes or less to the Port.
