Less then 7000 people across South Australia took up the offer of an "Ultimate" ticket.

It says how footy will be offering $515 premium transferable tickets (despite being 10 months away from the season) and how cricket haven't decided upon anything except for tickets being non-transferable and something will be (I'd read that as "may be") offered by late June despite cricket season starting in 5 months?
And the opening paragraph reads "Cricket has reacted swifty...."
The link says how the saca unveils plan b, where is it?
Even though I will be automatically eligible for 3 SACA memberships I doubt I'll take one up with them. Tickets would want to be less than $100 for me to consider it.
On the other hand I'm stoked I'll only have to fork out $1545 for 3 fully transferable footy tickets with none of the money going to the Crows or Port, was expecting to have to pay $2385.

My SACA membership was $300 last year

Anyway, have joined up on the waiting list for SACA membership.

How long is that waiting list and how much do MCG memberships cost, what are the entitlements?
Are you a member at Carlton?

According to the MCG website there are currently 102,800 MCC members, which comprises 61,800 Full members and 41,000 Restricted members. Their waiting list is 225,000 candidates.
The last induction of new members at the MCG was last year, and that included people who joined the waiting list in 1995, suggesting a 17 year waiting list.
To get on the waiting list it costs $110 and you must be nominated by an existing full member then seconded by another member.
Members are entitled to members facilities at all AFL and cricket games. Restricted members are not guaranteed entry to AFL grand final. (as I understand it)
If Adelaide Oval turns out anything like that I'd say Wedgie's done very well to get in so easily.

I am in the process of signing my son (16months) and one of his cousins (2) up for waiting list. Just waiting to get the nomination paperwork back that I posted to 2 members a few weeks ago to get them on the list. I think the waiting list is going to be a lot longer than 17 years and closer to 35-40 years. I just hope that the tickets will be transferable so that I can use them as I'll be retired by then!
