I used to roller skate a lot as a kid, and moved on to ice skating in my teens and 20s when there was a rink in the city.
Ice skating wasn't bad for picking up girls then either - you could start out helping them stay upright initially.

I have an impulse now, even at my age, to try roller blades, but I figure I'd better get my weight down a bit more before I try it.

I have tried roller blades but i found them not as comfortable and not as much fun.

Thats why i got my quad skates, to try and get my weight down...

I don't know what I'm like as a rollerskater but I was a ripper ice skater (true) - I was one of the high-school molls who used to hang around in the middle of the rink at the Ice Arena with the instructors, then skate backwards around the rink a few times just to show how it was done, flashing off my tits in the process. (Aren't high school girls lovely.) I pretty much lived there in Year 11. I've been meaning to get some roller skates for some time, to see if I'm any good with them. Wouldn't mind getting back out on the ice either - probably too old and slow these days but I always loved the feeling of ice skating - almost like flying.

I found ice skating easier than most. If you can quad skate, you can ice skate.

Never fell down ice skating. Touch wood...

Nearly broke my back after try #1....
