I thought I'd give them a try, taste like sauce that's gone bad. Tried to palm them off to unsuspecting Nephew who normally eats everything and anything and he wouldn't touch them after just one.

They recommend drinking it with a slice of orange, I didn't but they're probably right as it has a bit of an acrid after taste

Tried it on the weekend, had been at the Casino Grandstand bar watching the footy drinking Pure Blonde White (which is quite good) then headed over to the Strathmore, didn't have Blonde White so thought we'd try the Hahn White. Served up in a tall glass with a slice of orange bobbing around. Was ok but didn't have a second one, went to James Squire Golden Ale instead.

Finally drove to Maccas and tried the BBQ chicken skewers. Not only are they small, I found them bland.
The choc hot pot with soft serve however, was OMG good.
Keen to try the McGriddle.

I tried the Steggles Microwave Roast Chicken last night. 45 mins in the microwave, it's cooked.

Cooking: Put it in microwave, set it to 45 mins and walk away. 10/10.

Eating: Carved tender, beautifully seasoned and a solid, meaty bird at 1.8kg. 9/10

Review: For ease of cooking and resulting flavour, I can't fault it. The skin was crispy, perfectly cooked through. I can't stress how damn good it was, even in comparison to a traditional oven-roasted chicken.

On the back of the classic ad featuring Steve Currie, I tried the Smiths Extra Crunchy Honey Glazed Ham chips today.

The ad:

I was anticipating something to rival the Kettle Honey Baked Ham chips, but they weren't quite there flavour-wise and crunch-wise, were also found lacking in comparison.

Not bad but no where near the standard of Kettle or Red Rock Deli for both crunch and flavour. 5/10

I never volunteer as a test dummy for new products that may have artificial colourings or flavourings, or which are heavy on certain preservatives.
I've already been made uncomfortable too many times by allergic reactions to such things.
(On the other hand my slightly hyperactive immune system has meant I rarely get much of the common illness running through the community.)

On the other hand, I'll happily test natural products like the local Arak offered me in the highlands of Borneo when I was there.

 Also spelled Arrack in some regions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrack_%28drink%29
The are many versions by the same name, or a variant of it, and that made by the Iban Dyak in the highlands depends heavily on Palm and Tapioca leaves and Tapioca pith..
And it really resembles Vodka to taste, rather than the fancy flavours the article suggests.

Whipped peanut butter. The first I had seen of it.

Tastes just like smooth peanut butter but it is easier to spread. Not a lot of difference really. Not sure what I was expecting.

I love peanut butter on toast and have it regularly, you can't go wrong with whipped Peanut Butter, it's great because it is just so easy to spread.
