Why can't we have a public holiday for it too. I don't particularly care about the Royal Wedding, but we already have 2 public holidays that week so why can't we have another day off

I agree Bruce - she'll be our head of state too after all - and that way we can back up the 5 day Easter weekend with another 3 days next year!

They get the monday off aswell for bank day? something like that, I wasn't paying that much attention.

Looking like we might from what I heard on the Radio. Interesting yet lame fact his parents were married on the 29th of July 1981 so nearly 30 odd years later they are getting married 3 months earlier.

It's the May Day bank holiday...half the planet treat it as a public holiday.
