At the outlet I visit regularly, over the course of six years, some of their better ones:
- Buying a three piece feed, of which only two pieces are present
- Asking to swap potato and gravy for coleslaw and ending up with either a) no coleslaw b) no potato and gravy, c) BOTH coleslaw and potato and gravy or d) both missing, along with one piece of chicken
- They ask which drink you would like, then don't give you any drink at all (apparently "Mountain Dew" is easily mistaken for "none at all")
- Receiving four pieces of chicken.
- No chips, or two serves of chips
- Receiving an order bearing next to no resemblence to the order placed, such as a burger meal when asking for a three piece feed.
In all cases, naturally, the amount charged remains steadfastly correct, this part of the order is always done properly.
When ringing to complain then either:
- The person at the end of the phone complains about how hard it is to get good staff, complains about how busy it has been that night or essentially, blames their staff for all issues.
- On one occasion, when asking to speak to the manager, the person at the end of the phone put it down, and then came back with a somewhat assumed voice. I picked this one reasonably quickly and asked to speak to the ACTUAL manager, not someone who had just promoted themselves.
All instances involve having one's details placed into a possibly mythical book, the details of which one can recite next time to receive said missing item, although on certain nights, I have driven back down there to swap meals over, which usually doesn't go down well.
Unfortunately, the nearest outlet is some time away so the opportunity to drive further away for a possibly incorrect order is not as much of an option. Much of the time, I simply go to the local takeaway, which serves wonderful food that is what was originally ordered and is great value for money.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...
