BIG game Jimmy, they HAVE to win that one . should have beaten the Falcon last week, but shot themselves in the foot.

Well I got back last night ( 27th ) after using my pressie which was tickets to Melbourne for Boxing Day from Mrs.Boon and the junior Boons.

Mr Junior (13) came with me. Flew out on Xmas Day at 6, straight to St.Kilda based accomodation. Into the Test on Boxing Day and had great seats in the shade, right behind bolwers arm under Southern Stand.

Tram back to St.Kilda for dinner then flew home late last night after a day around Melbourne.

Pretty good pressie.

A mug with a Rainbow Lorikeet on it, a DVD of all the "Slowdowns", a bottle of Viogner, and some chocolate...
Oh.. and some attention from a couple of ladies I know.

I discourage people from buying me gifts generally, as I have more "stuff" than I need, still, and intend to cull further.
When people ask me what I'd like I suggest inexpensive tokens, as I suspect most things I actually want may not be easily affordable.
I don't want to make friends uncomfortable, so, I buy myself anything more expensive, like the bottle of Eau Sauvage, Apres Rasage, I did want.

One of the ladies I see is scratching for cash, so, for Christmas, I fixed her computer, and bought her a replacement for her electric kettle that had died.
The other one got a rather pretty and feminine ball point pen, as she is not in need of more practical items.

My wife used to say, when I chuckled at "2 1/2 Men" on TV, "Of course you enjoy it. When I met you you were Charlie!"
That came from when we were first going together, and we kept running into old girlfriends at social events.
I don't think I was really quite in the "Charlie" league, or quite that ruthless.

However, since my wife's death, I am avoiding drifting into any premature commitment by spreading myself around a little, like I did then.

New iPod touch to replace previous MP3 that crapped itself. Pretty happy with that. Just gotta load all my music back into it now...
Jocks as usual but they never go astray. Thongs and tshirts too..
Ozzy Osbourne biography and so far it has been an awesome present !!! Can't put it down...

The real presents are seeing the boys open theirs.... especially Tyler's face when he took his scooter outside to ride it to find the trampoline out there. Needless to say the scooter saw no more action that day... ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

An FM transmitter to be able to listen to the iPod in the car.
The 12th Man Boxset
Jetty Surf voucher (need a new pair of sunnies)

And the girlfriend got me 2 x Gold tickets for the TNA Wrestling show in March next year.... which has now been cancelled. So I'm still waiting for the replacement.

I can see the similarities between you and the heavy drinking, cigar smoking and drug taking Charlie :?

My wife was referring to my [past while married] addiction to women, although I also shared Charlie's taste for expensive cars..
I drink good booze - quality not quantity - but, no, I don't smoke or take drugs, or gamble.
Although I did smoke occasionally between ages 10 and 11, and I've had Cocaine straight of the tree while overseas.
The other near parallel I suppose is Charlie almost married a dancer, and I did marry mine. :)
