BATHROOM when one means "dunny" "sh*thouse" "crapper" or "bog" in fact I hate all the americanisms that have crept into Australian culture "AWESOME" is another one. Before the sheik gets stuck into me I am not anti-American. I just think Australian culture is going down the bathroom.

yeah your right... that has been hammered a fair bit.

But it's a good point though, it is all about hitting the back of the net.

No point having tons of scoring opportunites if you can't hit the back of the net. :) :)

Agree 100%. Examples - 9/11 - here that's 9th of November; gas - here that's LPG, not petrol; halloween - though not originally American is basically from there, all it's about is a scab fest of lollies.

All of the above but I have a particular hatred of kids saying "My bad" when they stuff up. Kind of like a Yank 'Bugger!'

i must admit i am quilty of a few of them, but that is understandable...i heard someone say bugga here on american tv, and they were american too...weird

WTF does "my bad" mean anyway? I hate it! Is "bugger" the most accurate English translation?
