I had hardly been once in 10 years but since our boys have arrived we've gone each of the last 3 years. This year was the first time our eldest was really ready and he loved it. He gets a tram ride thrown in which he loves too. Last year he was too young and it was a pain.

I still enjoy it but if it wasn't for the boys we wouldn't bother with it. Too many people and too expensive for a day out for 2 adults.

When we were kids it was one the 3rd most looked forward to event of the year after Xmas and our birthdays!

Na, he wears sports shoes when he's watching sports and likes news shoes for watching the news.

I go every yea just to look at the Pavilons and keep Melbas afloat and buy the Mega Menz bag. I only go on two ride. Ride the tram to get there and a ride on a tram home

took the missus last night, we were there for about 3 hours & spent about $300.
Mind you, $120 was spent on 2 Lonsdale jackets & a hat for her brother.
I went on 1 ride & bought 0 show bags, me & the missus went on 2 rides- the Ghost Train & the Ferris Wheel.
The missus is very restricted what she could go on, as she is recovering from some serious injuries.

For us it was a night out, & we had tea there, but I felt aggrieved that i'd spent $50 before evene walking in the doors!

not a huge fan of the show

but have been there the past few years because we have been lucky enough to jag free tickets with executive parking, but no free tickets this year so no show, especially at $19 entry fee, plus i get to see the fireworks from work anyway!!
