Sunday 13th June
Mercure Adelaide
125 North Terrace
Adelaide SA 5000

Birds are on between 2 and 6pm.

Apparently you have to do an online application first this year. Auditions are by invite only. Could really cut down the numbers.

Watched this one for the first time this year last night, normally watch it, but missed the first episode or two.

At least some of the beauties don't seem as dim as past years. A couple of the geeks, though...wow. Bendegeuz, the historian with a handlebar moustache and a hat...hard to believe this bloke is only 21. Could easily pass for 50, and in another time dimension.

Actually reckon the female geek, Helen, will scrub up very nicely when she has the makeover. Of the beauties, Sarah has one of the biggest mouths I've ever seen.

Haha everytime i see the ad for the show I always comment on the size of that chicks mouth to my gf
The chicks are all so fake tho that it's annoying to watch.... Apart from their smokin bodies.
Saw the last 5 mins with the guy and his tache. What a nutter

It annoys me they would say to the geeks grow as much facial hair and stuff as much asnu can so we have somethin to work with on make over episode

Not convinced that Lachlan is also entirely a geek either. Certainly very intelligent, studious and the like, but a couple of giveaway signs in the last couple of weeks there, I reakon.

No such doubts on Helen, somehow, but very taken indeed with her - and more so after the makeover last night. :)

I thought she looked ok, but came out a bit of a Julia look-a-like I reckon.

Nonetheless, still a vast improvement though..

The hair was a bit Julia-esque, but combined with the overall package, and a very good sense of intelligent humour...I was sold :D

He might be studying for a double degree, and be highly intelligent, but little doubt, IMHO, that Gilbert is not a pure "geek", as the makeover indicated. They are seriously well defined, well used muscles on display last night. Suspect he is a farmer or something similar who most likely plays a fair degree of sport.

Disappointing to lose the best eye candy (Maddy) and great mind candy (with a good degree of eye candy) in Helen last night :?

Either that, or he just goes to the gym.

It's all a crock, they're "geekified" for the show so everyone's like "ooohh.. wooooohhh" when they get that makeover. Even if they are true geeks, then the way they're dressed on the show is overdone and cliched.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

as ive said before, people on the show would tell the geeks to make sure they dont shave or cut hair etc from when they know they are going to be on the show so when on the show they shave their beard and cut their hair they are TRANSFORMED!!

load of a crock, i havent watched any of this series but id just watch it for a perv

"Geek" is in the eye of the beholder.
I was at the Mechexpo yesterday and overheard a chap saying to one of the exhibitors how disappointed he was that his son seemed to be so sport orientated and he couldn't discuss technical subjects with him.
(It made sense to me - although I played sport as well in my youth.)

Low BF, probably about 10-12%. Will make most people look 'cut'. He's obviously 'active' in some sort of way though.

Speaking of active, my missus read something last night that Lachlan is still giving the bird he hooked up with a jolly rodgering outside the show and lost his virginity in the house! Classic!
