that's the name of the stuff I drank...
GWW- it's the sugar/carbs, not the fat content that's the one to watch...

I had a look at the details on the carton (ie figures for fat content etc etc) for the Light and all didn't appear to be as bad as the normal one. I'll have another look at the sugar content next time i get the chance.

I've only had the Strong one once, in order to stay awake during staff training at work :P

I always found the stuff made me fart something wicked. Nice as it is, these days I stick to the diet coke. Better for the gut and the air quality!

FUIC factoid of the day: Apparently FUIC is one of only 4 regionally-made beverages in the whole world that outsells Coca-Cola in its locality.

I reckon Scotland's Irn-Bru was another one of the 4.

Actually with the amount of crap they put in Diet Coke i wouldn't say its good for anything. Heard quite a few people say that normal Coke is better for you than the Diet variety.

I reckon you're probably right. They have had some great advertising campaigns including one that blatently takes the proverbial out of the US advertising...gold. Made in Scotland from girders...unfortunately it takes like it too imho. These 3 very short ones are brilliant.

To keep on topic...assume this Iced Coffee is classic Aussie and should be added to my list to food/drink to try on the road trip. Is it like a coffee milkshake or something ?

Absolutely. No trip to South Oz would be complete without it. As a tourist you will be obligated to buy yours at the North Tce pie cart and wash down a pie floater with it.

Some years ago I visited a mate who had relocated to London. I froze an FUIC and took it with me on the plane, presenting it to him in when I arrived. His initial reaction: "you forgot the Balfours pasty!"

Also an Iced Coffee fan, despite being a diabetic. One of the few treats I allow myself. Btw, I prefer Iced Coffee over any alcoholic drink.
The one South Aussie icon I found it hard to give up but did was Menz Fruchocs. Another product that JAS should try.

There is no better lunch, A cornish pasty from Prices Right Bakery, Port rd Welland, a Balfours custard tart washed down with a 600ml FUIC. :supz:
I don't like the strong or light version they can't improve on the original.

Must be a case of being brought up on the stuff and its then just part of you, and having seen the reactions of interstaters when you mention it to them, Im sure its brainwashing as a child.
Lived in NW WA for 2 years and you just couldnt give the stuff away. The Iced Coffee market dominated by Masters 70% and Brownes 29%, rsest 1% and in the Territory its 90% Pauls Iced Coffee (Comes with the Territory, its slogan)

Farmers Union Iced Coffee

Postby Bully » Sun May 31, 2009 1:15 pm

Just a thought on how many of you drink this wondeful drink. How many 600mls have you drunk in one day.? Which one is you fav, Light, Strong or the norm?

My fav is the Norm of course.

Have drunk 4 600mls cartons in one day, had the runs for the next day or so after it but.

What about the Feel Good iced coffee with the brown and yellow package...anyone like this??
