Yeah I used to get to the St Peters Bakery a bit, always good for the senses ... Anyone tried, I think it's called Ned Kelly's, on Port Rd (either Alberton or Queenstown)?

agree port elliot by far best meat pies in the state and the custard berlinas are to die for. Only problem if you go on a long weekend the line goes out down the street, so get in early.

Big fan of Ardrossan Bakery. Sausage Rolls are great - and love their Steak and Mushroom pies!

I wake up early on Weekend mornings and go and get the morning paper.

Plus rolls, and a special cake for Mrs_Dog_ger.

Salisbury Bakery opposite the library. Opposite the bus stop.

Never been disappointed.

Wouldn't come close to your #1 Bakeries but does the job 4 me.....

Pt Elliott for bread but my favourite pies come from O'Halloran Hill Bakery, their only downside is they fall apart easily but they're the best tasting pies Ive had, put the Pt Wakefiled, Pt Elliott and Mt Compass bakerys to shame.
I love the Chicken and Asparagus pie.

5star in Flinders St is good if you like your meat, they don't believe in wasting any sauce in their pies, just 99% MEAT!

Owned by Murray Price of Price's bakery fame. Started off I reckon on Grand Junction Road with M & M Bakery and moved to Richmond. Did own Cowley's for a while till it went belly up.
Have a crack at the "big Mother" pie with the egg in the guts, awesome is the only word to describe it. ;) ;)
