For lunch and a longer drive, Waterside Restaurant at Whaler's Inn, overlooking the bay, is a good spot.

She'll think you're going to propose!

The best part about a long-term relationship is that eventually Caffe Primo becomes OK for nice lunch out (cheaper  )

it was better when everything was 8.90 or 9.90
now its all individually priced it sucks...

usually it dont matter were we go but i figured i better put in an effort..
she is very picky with food tho, only eats chick, chicken snitzel or pasta.

You might struggle to get that at Windy Point. It's been a few years since I last went there but I don't think schnitters were on the menu. However, I think the place was split in two, there was a cafe and then the restaurant so if you go there for lunch you might still be alright.

A guy at Kilburn once took his missus to the Empire Hotel on Prospect Rd for their anniversary. Didn't tell us whether he used the vouchers from the back of the Messenger though.

haha,

windy point seems not too shabby... she'll just have to like what son menu if we go there... ive looked up a few of these places and the menus seem ok i guess... not too much variety for what we like which makes it a one choice option haha.

but im gonna keep searching, thanks for the help and more suggestions are appreciated.

that scenic hotel and windy point are top 2 atm

Windy Point at night for sure.
Enzo's for Italian on Port Rd Hindmarsh. Service can be a bit slack but food is fantastic.
Alphutte in town is superb for a weekday meal.

If you want a drive, can recommend plenty of restaurants in Clare / Barossa region
which is great if you do a B & B as well....

The great thing about Adelaide is the availability of great food at good prices.....
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

Want to drive?

a) pack picnic basket with chicken and salad/ choccies (no, not that choccies  )/champers/flowers

b) blindfold girlfriend

c) drive girlfriend to somewhere nice... (dependant on weather) the banks of the little river in Strath is nice.. or even botanic gardens/ thorndon park...

d) said girlfriend will be very surprised and impressed that you went to the trouble.

e) you will be "in"

Some handy advice from a chick who is somewhat surprised that someone has put up with you for that long

And if all of that works as it should, you're a good chance to repeat step b at the end of it all

**** that! You shouldn't even be taking her out. Now she'll expect it all the time.

The more nice things you do for a woman, the less impressed they are. I treat my GF like shit and now she's estatic when I don't leave my clothes spread on the floor. Happiness is relative, you're setting yourself and your GF up for a lifetime of misery.

If she wants to get fed, give her some fishing line, a hook, some corn and tell the bitch that there are carp in the Torrens.

If she asks " How did you find out about this place? ", do not,and I repeat DO NOT say " I've been here before"....

Great advice FC! He wants to shag his chick at the end of the night. Follow your advice and within kilometres of leaving home, he'll be pulled over by police and charged with kidnap. Ending up in jail and meeting Bubba, who will definitely not be as nice a shag as his missus!

What was your conundrum again?

If you want to dump a chick, I like the patented(well not really, a mate told me to do it) Shrek method. I used it in year 4 to great effect.

What you do is pass her a folded up note with her name on it. She thinks you are being nice and sweet. Then she unfolds it realises you've folded up an entire page and reads in page high letters

You're Dumped!

Works a charm.
