I was keeping it to the most basic and dominant alcohol we humans consume, as a water substitute in the human body, but if you want to include the more complex forms like propyl, isopropyl, and butyl alcohols for the heavier flavour, which do in small amounts add their flavour to drinks, go for it. Ispropyl alcohol is used as a disinfectant and in higher concentration is unpleasant to taste.
You have to exclude the simplest alcohol, methanol, as the human body can't metabolise it beyond converting it to formic acid as in ant bites - it accumulates then and is very toxic, causing nerve damage. Ethanol converts to acetaldehyde, then acetic acid [as in vinegar], and then can be converted to carbon dioxide and water. There may be a carbon tax on it one day, but you may be able to sell the water!
