I think the bigger problem is the cost of new planes - he's run the fleet into the ground

Talking to a couple of legal mates yesterday, he's going to be squirming for a while re insider trading
He can fall back on the company (or Chairman) approved it, but that will just drop them into it as well.
Its not a defence if he knew the problem (and he should have?

Long term they will be fine. Some short term pain especially with 10 years of Capex to come, some of it not Joyce’s fault either as delays in manufacturing has put all orders back several years.
They need to change quite a few things and I’m not sure Vanessa will be able to implement the changes or be given the time to. She is a pretty good operator and nice enough person but she is a Joyce clone and handpicked by him to take over and as the ex CFO she was known for having tight purse strings and I think she will need to make some cutbacks to some areas. The board all need to go, that much is certain. If they can get through the next few years in a sound position they will be fine especially with some exciting new projects on the freight side of things which brings them in good money and hopefully the Project Sunrise aircraft start arriving shortly as well as some reinforcements for the narrow bodies which will open up a stack of thin routes and will be especially good for Adelaide

Yeah, I saw 3 blokes perving on my mate in the cubicle and hurled a few expletives at them.
Unbeknown to me it was 3 bouncers looking as he was asleep.
I was about 18 at the time and about 6 gym monster bouncers played pinball with me all the way to the front door.
Morphy was for dancing on the tables when I was a similar age.
And we all know about Adelaide Oval.
Luckily I've mellowed out in my 50s.
