It's partly my own fault that this is irritating me so much, because I was told from the beginning NOT to edit the whole thing, just to point out the more obvious faults and errors. But I'm an editor by trade and if I don't point out their mistakes, how are they meant to learn from them? It does rather suck big donkey dicks though, when every second or third word in an essay is either misspelt or misused. I've just spent two hours editing and writing comments on an essay, and at the end I got really annoyed by the observation that 'a short story is supposed to be easy to read' (the premise of the essay was to discuss certain unique characteristics of the short story), so I typed in big red letters, 'IT'S NOT NECESSARILY A GLOWING RECOMMENDATION IF A SHORT STORY IS EASY TO READ, BECAUSE SO IS FIFTY SHADES, AND THAT'S COMPLETE BOLLOCKS' and then accidentally uploaded the marked essay (all essays for this topic are submitted and returned online) without having deleted my comment like I'd meant to. :?

Pfft your soft

I still chuckle about a mate's history essays in year 12. One came back with "2/20 and that's generous". Another one came back with a comment 2/3rds of the way through the essay of "I refuse to read anymore of this rubbish".

Then again in Darwin you tend to tell it how it is.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

the last few days I have been itchy as hell all over my body.

not sure if its from the antibiotics I just finished, or the fact I haven't had crack for 4 days

So are you! By the way, I got your email and I'm hunting through my messy My Documents folder for more of my stories. Anything that's been published isn't available online - you have to buy the bloody book - so I'm looking for the original documents. :-) I've only had 3 stories published but got two chapters of a novel coming out as a 'long' short story in November, but that's by a bloody publishing house in Florida so I doubt it'll be available here. I didn't arrange that - a former teacher of mine when I was an undergrad, now a mate of mine, set it up for me. Anyway, I'll send you some stuff soon. :-)

Ok cool. Look forward to it. Is the 'long' short story the Hirta thing? Or is that something different?

Well, I must say that I'd never quite thought about it in that context... BUT, my main character is a 14-year-old girl, so thus tight as a bloody, um, tight thing. Her mum is 28, same age as me, and very tall, fair, big-breasted, and uninhibited. They all were. They were indoctrinated into the Christian faith early on, but they only took certain elements out of it. They believed in sharing, and in loving one's neighbour, and in swearing marriage before a symbolic crucifix, but they had no inhibitions about nudity, particularly as adultery was almost unknown on the island. So pretty much the ladies could swing their tits as much as they pleased without consequence.

Reminds me of the time I tried to sell Fort Battle-Axe to Toltoys as a Totem Tennis Kit.
Could've made some good coin if she hadn't woken up during the product trial and eaten a few kids.
