Doesnt matter to them if they dont get a tennant until the last day of your lease as you have to pay until then, thats guarenteed money for them.

Well right now im in the process of packing my whole house to move in the morning. The catch is we're swapping houses with someone else because they couldnt afford their rent and we wanted a better place. We have to have all our shit in a double carport (not gonna fit) and the real estate agents gonna do final inspections at 10am...THEN we can move to the other house, but have to get everything there in one trip. Had no help organising the swap by the real estate agents and dont know if we need to do carpets, even though it would be impossible to do.

If we just let the lease run out and got another place we wouldve had a whole weekend where the house would be empty to clean it etc. but we help people out and get no.support and a massive head ****.

I drive a company car and don't have issues but since stickers have stopped I have heard of many honest examples of being unregistered.

PS you don't honestly tell me you check, when you drive someones car for rego and insurance!!!
its funny, since the dept of transport stopped issuing stickers, the numbers of people registering their cars late, hasnt increased. neither has the number of people getting caught driving unregistered increased. the people that are getting caught just now have a convenient excuse to blame when they are busted. too bad both sapol stats, and dept of transport stats show that there is absolutely no increase in either statistic over previous years.....

meanwhile, i believe victoria will do away with rego labels as of january 1 2014, leaving queensland as the only state still to have them. seems that most of australia think they were a wast of time, effort and money.
After reading your comments I have made some calls to government departments and reviewed Leon Byners views yesterday. 60% increase in fines for unregistered vehicles since the stickers have gone! Revenue raising??????

lol, you think leon byner uses facts!! did he say it is 60% increase in the number of fines, or the dollar value? cos since the stickers have been removed, the dollar value for the fines has been increased twice.

from what i have seen, there has been no more vehicles fined for driving unregistered this last financial year, than for the previous one, or the one before that. even though there are now many more detection methods for unregistered vehicles.

which departments did you ring by chance? my phone hasnt rung all day...

lol, but how what is the increase in registered vehicles in the same time frame? the freedom of information act isnt a department either, and im amazed that you were able to get a response in a matter of minutes. usually freedom of information act responses take weeks....

what question did you ask? did you ask about the number of vehicles being renewed after their expiry? the number of vehicles left unregistered over a certain amount of time? you realise that depending on what you asked, there are many factors that influence the answer. if it was just the number of vehicles that havent been renewed in a certain amount of time for example, are you aware that recently thre has been a change to wrecked/written off vehicle legislation? meaning more vehicles are classed as written off now, and therefore cant be renewed? whereas previously they could be repaired and continue to be driven. that means more vehicles that are no longer renewed...

the facts are, there are always a percentage of vehicles that are renewed late. it is usually the same vehicles each time. from a day, to weeks even months late. this percentage of the vehicle fleet has not increased since the removal of registration labels. that info is taken directly from the department of transport database. not sure where you are getting your info from, but i can guarantee you my info is accurate, i work for dpti.

also FC, thankfully i dont have anything to do with 13 10 84. i doubt i have the patience to deal with the dtupid questions they always receive ;). i do however work in an area that deals with ministerials and media enquiries to do with stats and complaints, and funnily enough have dealt with this topic repeatedly over the last several months., our stats dont back up the popular perception.

Under the agreement, they have a obligation to relet the house as soon as possible

Today was the second time they have arranged a walk thru with a potential client and not showed up

They also have an obligation on maintanence to the property which was most definatly not met which multiple emails regarding issues would prove, not nice to go over two months in summer without an air conditioner with two little kids

Perhaps point out their obligations under the Act and see if they respond in a satisfactory manner.....

Have done, she just gets ultra defensive raises the voice and starts telling you how clueless everyone is.

In all honesty we would be happy if we could just pay out the lease, have our final inspection and be done with it.

There slowly adding clauses like u need to show a reciept from a proffesional carpet cleaning business and then haven't accepted a $1 receipt from my mates company to which he actually did the carpets and they haven't even looked at them yet.

They can get fugged if they think I'm paying x amount at another company to keep them happy when I'm not even guarenteed to get my bond back

I'm sure this has been covered but if you're breaking your lease you're obligated to pay the rent in full to the end of your lease including all advertising & open inspection costs until a new tenant has been found.

Marley Duncan real estate

No wonder they have so many issues with tennants.

Heard some pretty bad things about this real estate agency.

That commercial reeks of false advertising too, because it is indeed a car.
