Not that it gave me the s hi t s, because we were delighted to welcome young Jack Miller into the world early yesterday, but can anyone please explain to me why we would begin to induce a baby at 6am???
We are just thrilled, happy, delighted etc etc he got here after a 10-year break from his older brothers, but the old man in me who these days loves his sleep was kind of hoping we might have been called in at 8 or 9am, and didn't have to get out of bed out 4.40am after about 73 minutes of sleep just desperately hoping it would all go all smoothly. Let alone his mum who has had a bit of a challenging pregnancy.
As a sub-topic, would just like to say that all the staff at St Vincent's are just fantastic, they aren't paid enough, they couldn't do enough to re assure parents, make people / babies comfortable etc etc etc etc etc
Married to a nurse for a decade and a half a now, I have always admired what they do, but dealing with midwives for a couple of times has always shown me who really is massively under - appreciated and under-recognised when it comes to our society.
Probably got the wrong topic when I re-read it, but hats off to all the ladies / women / professionals / superstars bringing small people into the world.
