Who'd he play for?
I played on it in 2001 and 2002.
9-a-side Scott Hodges Cup....I was a pretty big deal back then.
I played numerous mini-league games on it through the early 80's. My Uncle's best mate was the Mini-League coordinator and we'd sit up in the back row of the Williams Family Stand with the smell of linament coming up through the gaps in the floor and wall.
Often they'd be short and little ( I was, once upon a time ) Boon would always be there prepared with shorts, socks and boots. In fact I wore my full kit quite often, lace up guernsey and all. I didn't play many away games as his role diminished as the home teams coordinator took over.
I wore an onion on my belt at the time.

But I seriously rate consecutive 39 degree days, particularly on a Friday and working in the city.. oh boy oh boy wowee!!
I had to meet with a client this morning, his suggestion was Henley Square for breakfast so I dragged myself along. Wasn't looking forward to it...(much)
I'd have been happy to stay for brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper and a late night apertife!
I work in an office with prison bar windows with geriatric bitches...

Totally agree about the surface. Excellent club rooms too, I always used to enjoy going to Alberton.

What about going home?
You did win 2 or 3 games there in that 15 year dominance Port had from 88 onwards.
