Sorry to gear that Booney, terrible news...

One of the Directors at school, who is a swimming machine had a mild heart attack on Monday at the pool. He didn't even know it until he went to the doctors and had a blood test because he was throwing up. Now in the Lyell Mac....

Crazy stuff... :(

I too will add my condolences Booney, sometimes life is just not fair.

A couple of things give me the irrits at SANFL games and I would be surprised if they haven't been mentioned before.

Pre match, the playing of the clichéd 80s rev up songs. Please, no more Eye of the Tiger, Theme from Rocky etc.
And why now do we have to play the away teams song before AND after the game should they win. Is it to make them welcome in a PC world? Bugga 'em, away teams are on hostile territory and should be treated as such.

That sucks mate. Condolences to you and your family.
Me too Booney. Sorry to hear of it.

I've never forgotten a similar experience from the other side of such events.
I was the attending RMO at the RAH when a truckie of similar age went into arrest while I was reading his ECG live.
I went straight into resuscitation until the crash team arrived but they couldn't save him - he'd suffered massive damage.
(Then the team packed up and moved out leaving me to go out and give the news to his wife and teenage daughters sitting outside.)

I can't stand the term 'bucket list'.

Until that stupid movie came out, nobody used it. They'd just say 'these are the things I want to do before I die'...

my uniform is black pants and a dark blue navy shirt with my companies logo on it and i get aksed where things are in thses stores also. I was walking past an old couple and this woman bailed me up in an isle and asked "where is the suger kept", my response was " Look for it yourself", and her response was "i am going to tell the manager on you". i walked away laughing. I was then at the counter paying for my goods and they were there complaining and saying" i asked one of your staff members where something was and was told look for it yourself". It was a laugh.

My philosophy is "Look for something yourself, and only when you really can't find it, should you ask someone for help".

is it really that time consuming to see that the logo on the shirt is not for Kmart? or that the person you are asking does not have a name badge with the company logo on it?

Why ?? Are they blind?
It less time consuming to say find it yourself rather than sorry I don't work here and basically open your eyes and either find it yourself or better yet a staff member

Optus. Evidently Mr McSpaz failed to pay our mobile phone bill so they cut us off. (Which technically is our own fault, but they charge like the bloody Light Brigade. Mr McSpaz is a whiz with computers, phones and the like, but offer him a new handset and he's like 'YEAH!' and tends to forget about the fine print at the bottom.)

I dropped mine on Saturday. Made an insurance claim, to get it repaired costs $75, for a new one $250. They give me a loan phone and my Sim doesnt work in it, go in next day, they replace my sim and it still doesnt work, go in today and it doesnt work in another 2 loan phones, and the one it does work it is a crappy Nokia phone with snake still on it. So i have that now, with no numbers, until they charge me for a replacement and my Sim probably wont work in that.
