You should tell Australia post that.

When people say "sand fell" instead of SANFL (single letters pronounced).

Jackson Trengrove kept saying it on 5aa this morning... He ain't the only one but seems a Victorian thing that has now crept over in the past few years .

$hits me and annoys me big time !

Ps - listening to Trengrove speak is one of my other annoying things as well !

Well the neighbours dog crapping on my lawn gives me the sh1ts, after putting up with it for a couple of months and despite numerous words to said neighbour I get home last night to find a fresh steamer. I lost the plot and so after the football had finished last night I went and took a dump on their front lawn. The basterds are in for a nice little shock when they open their front door this morning

I've had a mate do that before, turned it into a flamer, lucky not to set the front porch on fire

Being a former resident up there, I know what you mean on this one GDB. The ones that are even worse than that are the ones who speed up to over the limit as soon as they see a straight bit of road, making it impossible to overtake them. Happens between Mt Barker and Maccy, Hahndorf and Echunga all the time.
I met that behaviour while I was in WA's south west early this year.
I hadn't met it in SA, but I very rarely travel out Macclesfield and Echunga way.

The SA thing I notice is the people well behind you who accelerate to block you if you indicate well ahead that you want to change lanes, and will finish up in front of them in the same lane, when you are already travelling faster than them anyway!

The trick is wait for the right position, then give the minimal notice, and move over before they have time to decide to accelerate.

When I had a similar problem I simply shoveled the crap up and tossed it over o their side of the road on a weekly basis. In the end I had to send videos of the dog doing its bit to the council to get the behaviour stopped.

Had I simply adopted your approach I am sure that the problem would have resolved itself in much more haste.

I applaud you sir.

Correct. I sub contracted for them for 6 years. I was fortunate to have a decent round in the area I lived and enjoyed it for a while. I got out earlier this year, Australia post keep upping the work load and responsibilities but no pay increase. Most contractors get the shits up and deliberately take short cuts. You see, subbies get paid per parcel, so the quicker they deliver the better. Hence short cuts ie; leaving parcels without knocking, carding items to post office without attempting delivery, leaving parcels that actually require a signature, the list goes on. I have some ripper stories of things that went on, best not to put on here though.
One thing I will add, if you send or buy something that is Express Post then it is guaranteed NEXT DAY delivery if posted from one metro area to another metro area. This why you pay am exhorbedently high price. Like all businesses, things happen and the work doesn't get done. I have seen first hand hundreds of express post parcels sit in the depot for a day and not get delivered. Australia post's view on it is "only one in twenty make a complaint and get a refund, we are willing to cop this".
This is what you deal with, along with contracts being taken away from good workers and given to untried with no experience clowns who barely speak English because Australia post put looking at the bottom line first and the customer second. Customer service is a pain in the arse to them.
