No Port player has ever reached the hype (well maybe C Cornes but was probably because he was dating a tv star, so was good for social pages) of Modra, Tippett, Walker or Dangerfield.

Would only need to compare the respective Advertiser coverage of Dangerfield re-signing vs Boak re-signing.

But thats the reality of the world in a Crows-dominated media environment.

I post the above more as an observation than a complaint.

no one will ever reach the hype of Modra. He was a star, and considering that in his time, the crows were the only SA team in the AFL, then he well deserved the hype from all South Aussie fans of AFL at that time.

Interesting actually...
Does that domination reflect the relative public interest?
Or does it come from the Crows getting the use of the first AFL licence and the media fixating on them as a result?
Or are the media just anti-Port?
