He left a voicemail on my missus' phone pretty much calling her a piece of shit for letting it get like it is (she drives it). So I just called the wanker back and asked what the problem was. He said we need a part to make it run a bit smoother, THEN he can think about servicing it.

Apparently I need a "throttle activator control motor". From them it will cost over $400 for the part and about $150 to fit. I rang Athol Park Ford Wreckers and can get the whole assembly for $150. Just going to ring around and get another quote on fitting it.

Just told the bloke to park my car out the front and not to touch it any more, Ill pick it up tonight. Ill have a few words for him if he tries to charge me for anything. He'll probably already get a few words for talking to my missus like he did.

It's not rocket science

So do you take the day off as an annual leave day, a sickie or as an unpaid day off?

An annual leave day - why would I take a sickie?

Can you run past any future leave requests with us thanks FC?

Ideally we authorise it first. ;)

I put one of my cars in for a service this morning, they rang an hour later and amongst other things they said needed doing was replacing the brake fluid. Fortunately I keep the details of each time the car is in on a spreadsheet and asked why as you had changed it on the last service. They mumbled something about colour and perhaps they had mixed the fluid with the last change, but said that it would be fully flushed and replaced at no cost.

Note the headline "hotel horror for newlywed couple" grabbed my attention, hence I read it.
