Loved the 2 up ring.

Do you remember the little horse track with the mechanised horses?

Sure do! In the door, right next to the bottom of the escalators.

I don't think I've ever cheered as hard at an actual day at the races as I did when my plastic horse hit the front

The best nights I can remember at the Cas were always at the 2 up ring, just dont go anymore.

Why did they remove it and would they get it back?

Haven’t been for at least half a million years.

They had $2 Blackjack tables when they first opened, but that didn’t last too long.

You used to get free drinks while you were playing it.

I'd sit on it and watch the Asians put shitloads on the faves and then put my $2 bets on the roughies as it was so rigged.

Managed to sneak into the high rollers room once in the early days (can’t remember how) …

Most of the people didn’t looked like they couldn’t afford to be there, with insane bets laid so assumed a healthy dose of money laundering was in play.

I don’t think I could have replicated their behaviour with Monopoly money.

:D

I think it was a bit like the London Tavern where prices went up each hour

I was in the Lockleys Hotel about 20 years ago & they had a beer wheel, prices ranged from 20c to $2 with 2 x free beer slots. It got spun every 10 mins for an hour, whatever price came up that’s what you paid for the 10 mins until the next spin. Ol’ mate spun up “free beer” twice in a row, you’d never seen anything like it. Mayhem ensued. On his third spin he came up with 20c - everyone literally booed him
