Wiki-hopping and stumbling across something terrible. I knew the name and had a vague sense of the atrocities committed there but reading it in detail - it's honestly the most horrifying thing I've ever read. Anyone who wants to know what I'm talking about, just type 'Jasenovac' into the Wikipedia search box. :(

Agreed. Xenophobia, fear, ignorance and hatred - always alive and well somewhere.

I worked in pubs for nearly 15 years and never got used to seeing this on a daily basis.

Same, one night well before kids me and Mrs Tex were having a beer and a meal at the Kentsh Arms and there was this old guy dining alone, we felt bad for him so asked if he wanted to join us, had one of the best nights and he drank us under the table!

We almost did that but were worried he might get offended.

Yeah that's good mate. Bowls is run by old farts and I upset the selectors on a few occasions and paid the price. Got my own back though

Ive been meaning to play lawn bowls on summer nights. Never actually get around to it.

I went a few months ago with my missus's nephews and had an awesome time in Willunga. The oldies all took us as team mates and showed us the ropes. We thought it was piss funny to comment on the oldies bowls, telling them they needed to give it more weight, or more grass. They werent as amused

Bowlers can be touchy. The funniest magazine you can read is the SA Bowler. No comedy could ever replicate this little gem.
Back on topic, it is sad to read the obits from around the state. Bowlers tend to drop off the twig every week
