thank you for clarifying.
Firstly, they're not my customers, I don't tackle insurance anymore.
secondly, I was in fact referring to the lazy people who would rather spend 10 minutes waiting in line rather than 2 minutes looking for their policy and then complain about the time they had to wait.
Anything coming from a drain after rain is classed as stormwater run off - which is a different insured event completely. Since 2011, the definition of flood has been regulated and is now a standard on policies for most companies, with an "opt out" available.
Also, flooding can occur for a number of reasons ... natural events (Tsunami is an insured event on it's own ) or such things as blocked drains (stormwater run off), faulty sluice gates (as per the Pat at Glenelg a few years ago), water pipe failure (Bursting, leaking, discharging or overflowing of water or liquid) etc, so to characterise flood risk in Adelaide as negligible is naive as insurance is there to cover some of these unforeseen events.
Before you start calling me naive - perhaps you should take it upon yourself to learn the actual definition of flood - only one of the above you have quoted may class as flood.
Flood means the covering of normally dry land by water that has escaped or
been released from the normal confines of:
■■ any lake, or any river, creek or other natural watercourse, whether or
not altered or modified; or
■■ any reservoir, canal or dam.
Flood excludes water from actions of the sea, except that caused by:
■■ a storm surge if it occurs at the same time your home or contents are
damaged by a storm or
■■ a tsunami.
Yes, people are entitled to call and confirm - but it's the fact that the majority of SA will call tomorrow because of the panic factor when clearly they have nothing to fear AT THIS POINT IN TIME .
Now...considering most of your posts are about defacation, hookers and innuendo, I really don't think you are in any position to call my post dumb.
End of argument.
