I don't know but it does seem a bit dodgy.

******* dan murphys again! a couple of weeks back i complained after they refused my 21yr old son service cos his 17yr old bro was with him. Whoever rang me was very apologetic and tried to justify their staff members actions, in the end this guy agreed with me and promised to contact the store manager and tell his staff to use common sense

well this arvo i take mr17 in with me to carry my slab and the counter attendant asks for his id, now the beer was in a trolley, i was paying and the boy had nothing to do with the purchase, she didnt want to serve me so i asked for the manager and he told her to serve me, however she insisted to me that it was policy. i told her that was bullshit and they just cant assume that i am purchasing alcohol for a minor, they can stick it i wont be going back but i will be complaining again!!!!!!!!

Ring up the applicable Govt dept - Consumer Affairs, or Liquor Licensing, or whoever - and get them to clarify the law for you.

1st Choice Liquor on Port Rd, Hindmarsh is the way to go.

None of this Woolworths crap, Coles all the way ;)

Got a carton of Royal Dutch post horn 24 x 500ml cans for $34.90 there.

One man's watery is another man's 'smooth' ;)

But yeah it is a bit watery but I prefer that.

My bank!!

Re-drew on my loan Wed which was around $1000 paid in advance because i pay almost 3 times the minimum each week, the bank turn around and slug me a late fee, then when i call them they try and tell me that i didnt have that money to withdraw and as a result im best part of $1k in arrears on my loan to put the money back in immediately or continue to get charged!!

Not only that but they took out $500 of my bank account and put it back in the loan without me knowing to try and recoup some of the apparent "deficit"

Hour later on the phone, the lady apologises and admits they stuffed up and fingers crossed by tomorrow should be back to normal then i can call the bank AGAIN and ask to re-draw the amount AGAIN!!

sounds right to me, if he was the one in possession of the alcohol then it would be assumed it was for him. You ain't going to get far with a complaint to anyone as she did the right thing. She's suspected that the alcohol was for son so she has the right to ask for ID. just find a dodgy bottle shop then your son will be able to go and get you beer for you. There's a little hotel at ethelton we use to go in our school uniform and get served in the bottle shop.

The last 18 months have pissed me right off. One massive high point accompanied by several massive lows. I really don't know what we have done to deserve this. A big **** you to karma/fate/deity of your choice.

We will get past this latest setback, it might take a lot of bundy, but it won't get us down.

Never go early in the day. Most places are empty by 11.30 as a lot of tests require fasting and everyone rushes in the morning. I have to get one every fortnight and Im in and out within 5 mins every time as I go in the arvo. 8)
