VERY strange. Very strange codes of etiquette as well. And to hear them talk sometimes it was like they still hadn't got over the South losing the Civil War. It was especially odd because Mr Ex-McSpaz's two best friends were black - he got beaten up for this in high school, which should say a thing or two about the town they live in - but yet the way he went on constantly about 'counterracism' and 'no-good niggers bringing down the area' you'd never have picked it.

The south never have gotten over it. And the south will always be racist as heck. they still have sundown towns everyone knows it they just sweep it under the rug.

Didn't give me the shits as such, but spun me out in a Lollish kinda way.

Went to the Mainline Drive-In in tonight, got there early and waited about 6 or so cars from the gates.

Car in front of me had left a fair gap in front of them, and the missus and I started joking that they might be saving a spot for someone.

Anyway, after about 15 minutes with the cars lining up on Main North Rd, chick gets out of her car and goes and talks to someone in another car out on the street .. Next thing that car drives around the others and pulls in front of her.

I missed it once - in the pre-laser gun days of the 1980s - by going past at 240kph in Chateau Moteur's Porsche 930 demo.
I blame their sales manager who was supposed to be watching ahead for it from the passenger seat.

We found a fire truck free-way crossing just up the road - in a location where you could see both ways - and did a U-turn there.
(Obviously only viable if the traffic is light.)

There are at least 4 of those dirt-track crossovers between Mt Barker and Callington.
