12 years ago I tried to offload a couple of C64s to a second hand dealer and got laughed at. Even the green wheelie bin will spit it out.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Just looking on the Net there's still plenty of people in the world still using their C64s.

Speaking of C64s and Samantha Fox anyone on here play Sam Fox Strip Poker on their C64???

Anyone mentioned "strawberry pops"?.

The strawberry equivalent to coco pops in the 70's.

My favourite cereal but sadly taken off the shelves many moons ago.

Anyone remember in the 1970's that brown sun burn lotion cream (it was a thicker type of cream, compared to sun lotion these days, had the thickness of cake icing).

I remember my mum applying it when i was a little kid, used to actually hurt on the skin.

I can remember in the early 80's my family getting their first VCR, was around around '82. I thought it was the greatest piece of technology ever. Even had a remote control with a cord going from the remote to the video, lol.

Around about the same time we got a soda stream machine, which i thought was quite brilliant too.

Ahh, the soda stream, that was excellent, I think it worked out to about 9 cents a bottle. Sarsparilla was a personal favourite, followed closely by Cola and Ginger Beer.

- When was the last Birdman Rally?

- Once upon a time when you saw a speed limit sign, you simply added 10kmh and stuck to that.

- 4WDs were a rarity on the road. Instead, there were panel vans and station wagons!

- Leeds lemondade.

- No bridge on South Rd over the railway line and Cross Road, traffic could bank up for a long way.

- Sturt CAE swimming pool.

- Marion Shopping Centre - consisting of John Martins and David Jones and plenty of car parks.

- $5 all you can eat nights at Pizza Hut.

- The Lion Safari Park at West Beach, and the Dolphin place there as well.

- The Ice Arena (pre-skiing slope), when it had a fast outside track and an inside ice paddock.

- the Black Stump was the tallest building in Adelaide.

Joplins, the Planet, McMahons, the Circuit and Lennies. And the Firm.
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

- When it did only actually take 20 mins to get from one side of adelaide to the other

- You went to see Mr Percival at MARINELAND

- the other ice skating arena at Payneham

- Ahh, Joppies, so many memories 8) I dared a certain North Melbourne footballer once (no prizes for guessing) to grab my boobies as there was a whole nights worth of drinks on the line courtesy of the other regulars as a prize, so he went to drag me into the gents and I got kicked out. I think was more devo about the drinks than not being molested by you-know-who
