Use an icecream container or a hose and syphon the water out into a bucket. U might need a mint.

So I'm cleaning my house this week, and there's an awful lot of crap* caked onto the toilet bowl...

I have a fair idea of how to clean it, however...

Is there a way I can drain the water that stays in the bowl?

Many thanks in advance Men.

What part of ... blokes don't clean the toilet bowl ... don't you understand???

I'd always been on the same page as dedja here, but since my wife's death I've had to learn.
Apply a liberal dose of a gel like White King or Harpic and let it soak for a while.
Then scrub it with a really stiff loo brush and then flush.
Repeat as necessary.
The real trick is either use the brush before it hardens, or get a meticulous female companion. ;)
