For those here that don't mind a red, Accolade Wines here in the Riverland have a dozen of their premium cleanskins shiraz from McLaren Vale for $84 a dozen. For $7 a bottle, it's bloody good red. It's my go to red at the moment. I'm sure they'd be able to get it down that way to u if u wanted a taste. I love my red and this is good stuff.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Normally taking a 9 year old and a 10 year old out for dinner is not looked forward to. Tonight will be an exception.

When I order a portergaff I have become used to saying "about this much lemonade in the bottom of the glass" in order to get it right.

There are far more stout/dark ale drinkers now than 10 years ago.

You will also note that many places can not get Coopers stout kegs ATM so there is a lot of Southwark Stout on tap. A great drink.

All this talk of portergaffs and black-and-tans, my first thought was "what a waste of good stout".

... and in the case of black-and-tans, a waste of good Heinies too.

Been hitting the dark ales more myself this winter. Drinking the Guinness cans too, which I find a bit more "beerlike" than the local stout offerings. Must be getting soft in my old age.

Stout, on it's own, just a bit too punchy for mine so the lager takes the edge off.

1 Heineken stubby : 2 Coopers Extra Stout stubby is the ratio.

Black and tans are popular where I work but they have Pale with the Stout.
Only really old people or women have had portagaffs.
