They're trading in aluminium which is a valuable commodity, I can only assume they work on the weight of the material being worth more than the 10c per can they give us.
Scrap steel, nobody makes money.
Dude that owns the Pooraka one seems to do alright out of it judging by his cars.
I can't believe what they give you for certain types of metal, and that's with me getting ripped off.
I worked at an engineering firm for a while and the owner was an absolute prick of a man, he had the shits with me over nothing one day and ordered me to sort through and categorise the off-cut shed while it was pissing down with rain.
I sorted it alright, there were bronze, copper, brass, bronze alloy and titanium billets buried in there that no one would have even remembered putting there, not to mention all the stainless and aluminium.
The shed was very well organised after that.
