Michelangelos is awesome! One of the few things I missed when I moved out of my parents' house. Pimpala Pizza is a pretty good substitute but I do get the odd really large chunk of onion that turns me off a bit.

Can someone please give me an idea of what I should expect to pay for a plumber to come out and inspect my Hot Water System? Is it around the $100 mark? It's been leaking for a few weeks, and i reckon I might need a new one. Any help is much appreciated! :D

Can you patch up the leaks with electrical tape? That's how I fixed the water pump in my car. Admittedly it didn't last very long, but long enough for me to keep driving it for another three months as long as I topped up the coolant daily. :)

Had the same problem with my system in the roof, started leaking slowly and after a month it was filling up a 10lt bucket in about 30 minutes. Thought the worst but it just turned out it needed a new valve or something, ended up costing around $100, labour inclusive

I had a similar experience and the leak was just from a cracked joiner where the pipes met the solar panels on the roof. It cost just under $100.
However, it had presumably been leaking for some time because once it was fixed the impeller bearings in the pump mechanism packed it in under the increased load or pressure and I had to replace the pump a week or so later.
[It is a 7 year old system.]

Here's one for the boys...

I'm moving in with a mate (he's offered me his couch) for a while, but we haven't exactly talked about rent, or payment...

Is beer acceptable? Or should I be throwing some dollars at him?

Bump...

So I'm cleaning my house this week, and there's an awful lot of crap* caked onto the toilet bowl...

I have a fair idea of how to clean it, however...

Is there a way I can drain the water that stays in the bowl?

Many thanks in advance Men.
