After a shit night monday coaching our women's cricket team I hit it hard after the game and then at a friends and then when I got home, went to bed about 1ish I think, got work just before 6am and felt like a horses arse all day.
One stemhead came up to me about 8am and then says out loudly "Have you been drinking, I can smell it"
"Not this morning" I replied :D
I'll have sympathy for you.

So apart from my laundry flooding yesterday (apparently the old pipes have tree roots growing in them or something, my washing machine was leaking a couple of weeks ago according to the missus.
Service guy came out today, had a look, and it didn't leak at all. Getting a nice little call out bill my way (if it had leaked, it was a warranty job).

It f**king killed and took a decent amount of skin off. It's fine now though, it's healed very well.

What also sh!ts me is that it happened about 2:50, we finish at 3:30 so by the time I rushed into the toliet to splash water on the burn, go out to find our leading hand and then supervisor to explain that I have suffered an injury, go down to our onsite medical to get it treated (which happens to close at 3:10), go back to see our supervisor so he could take me to the Gilman medical centre to be treated then go back to work, I finally got home at 5:15. It caused so much f**cking around, I usually get home at 3:45. Got paid overtime though. :)

As for the guy who threw it, he didn't show up to work today. He will be delt with by all the bosses but I don't want to see him get the sack or anything, he is a good mate who I've known since Primary school and we've always been battling it out against each other for kicks, both got detention in Science in year 10 for wrestling and fighting in the classroom while the teacher left the room.

Sacked. He's actually broken the law in doing that section 21 (1a) of the OHS&W Act where he has endangered a fellow employees safety. In Victoria he could be up for a $200 000 fine, here its is only a Division 6 fine ~ $20 000 IIRC. If I was his boss I'd sack him beacuse his actions have put the company at risk of breaking the law too.

Interesting to read, knowing all the emphasis on OH and S at ASC he's in alot of trouble. Also it will be a long process of sorting this out because we are employed by an apprentice training company so we will be talking to the two different organisations in AIGTS and ASC while sorting it out. He wasn't at work today or yesterday, as for me I've been pretty lucky the burn healed really well and is better than first thought, still really f**king annoying though.

First Wednesday of every month The Australian publishes its Australian Literary Review supplement.

Settled in last night with my cup of tea ready for a read but when I put the sections apart I can't find the ALR.

News, Sport, A-Plus, Business, Wealth... but no ALR.

I blew up! Was ready to storm down to the newsagent. Lucky it was eight o'clock and shut.

Checked the paper all over thinking they might have merged it into another section.

"Maybe it's online in the new user pays bit", I thought.

Go online to check and the first thing that pops up when I Google ALR is "The death of the ALR" by Peter Craven.http://www.abc.net.au/unleashed/3497044.html

Completely forgot it got canned.

Still...

Walking past Chinatown in the city when picking up my stuff for Amy's Ride, hmm could go a couple of chicken satays, Do you reckon I could find some chicken satays in there??? Plenty of satay chicken you put on a plate but no chicken satays that Icould see. Hell would even have taken a chicken satay that had been sitting in the Bai marie for four hours....

What good is an asian eatery if you can find a single bloody chicken satay...

Multiculturalism my ar5e

makes me want to jump on a plane and raid the Parap markets in Darwin tomorrow and then smash a few down at the Wharf...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Pseudo's obvious solution: Order plate of satay chicken. Procure one (1) chopstick. Poke the chopstick sequentially into each chunk of chicken, one after the other, allowing the meat to accumulate along the length of the chopstick. Voila: instant chicken satay!
