Thankfully I'm one of the lucky ones...never had allergies...touch wood.

But my mate used to go through hell every year because of rapeseed pollen (you probably call it canola)

What she finally tried as a last resort and not really expecting it would work, starting last year, was desensitizing herself by using rapeseed oil instead of her usual cooking oils. The difference this season has been amazing...barely a sniffle and no reaction to consuming the oil.

Was going to suggest to FC and anyone else that if whatever plant she's allergic to has an edible by product she could look into trying something similar.

Not only Hayfever but general sinus hell as such. To look at me this morning you'd think I'd come straight to work from an all night bender at the pub.

I'm trying to avoid nasal sprays and tablets for as long as I can, for if I take them every day I become immune to them. I've succumbed once already and used the spray -for the pure reason to get to sleep.
