You can remember your dad taking you to the burger king (I think it was called) on Port Road & they served you at your car...like they do in Happy Days.

Closer to 50 I'd think. I remember the one on Anzac Highway, but I'm pretty sure it was closed by the early 1970s.

I remember Yum Yum's on the corner of Addison & Grand Junction Roads, was always a stop in when we went to Semaphore, probably in the Austin 1800.

I remember there was a competition to name that place, open to the public.

There was one on the grounds of Marion Shopping Centre, right next to Lasscocks nursery. I reckon they were both pretty much where Dan Murphys is now.

correct

I went to so many after school birthday parties at the Marion Putt Putt in the early 70s - great fun. One of the holes required you to hit the ball firmly up a slope - the hole was placed near Morphett Rd so us kids used to slog the ball as hard as we could to see if we could clear Morphett Rd with our hits! Great fun but scary for Morphett Rd traffic !!

I'm curious why these "Appeals" aren't on (tv) anymore. Presumably don't rate. They were always reasonably good entertainment.

I think Perth still has them.
