May have been mentioned before but i remember when car rego plates eere black with white numbrrs. Then the R series came out followed by the S series. You could tell the age of a car simply by the first number or letter of the number plate.

Remember when there was petrol rationing? Cars with plates beginning with "R" were allowed to fill up on one day, and cars with "S" the next.

(that's Gulf War 1 for those playing at home...around 1990 ish)

I mentioned to my wife the other day that I didn't have my bus pass when I was leaving for work. "Bus Pass" was one of those ticketing systems used on the STA in the mid to late 80's whereby you'd use stickers for each month to authorise you to travel on public transport as many times as you wanted during that month. Mine like many others had a plastic pouch that would 'waterproof it'. Why I mentioned Bus Pass is beyond me.

I remember you used to get footy cards in the tip top bread loaves and my mum used to get wild at me because everytime she went shopping i would rip the wrapper apart to get the footy card out :lol:
