Left everyone (including a few of their own) shaking their heads.
Oh Jesus, it's rife everywhere.
When I watch my kids play sports I find a spot furthest away from everyone and plonk myself there for the day occasionally applauding good efforts from either team, people take junior sports way too seriously.
we have are only really at the start of the kids sport rollercoaster (6 and 9 years old), so im aware things will change at some point, but im definitely thankful that we have had a great group of parents so far with both the kids sport. with both the girls netball, and the boys football, the parents are all supportive, encouraging both sides, and im yet to see anyone give the coaches a hard time for anything
and while we dont know most of the other parents at all they all seem to be willing to have a chat during the games. i think it has really helped the enjoyment for everyone concerned, particularly our boy, who at the start of last season started to get a bit down about footy as he was basically the youngest on the team (and sadly got my lack of footy talent it seems...) but with the encouragement finished the season well and is looking forward to this coming year.
i just hope it continues and they enjoy their sport for as long as they can.
