Buying ice creams direct from the Amscol factory in Cypress Street (or wedged inbetween Angas and Carrington, if you will) ;)

I remember Marion as a very young kid (mid 70's) as Myer at one end, John Martins at the other and bugger all else except Lloyd's in the western end of the car park. Went back there alone while on a visit from interstate (grandparents lived on the other side of Sturt road) and somehow got lost. Finding an exit towards Lloyd's helped me get my bearings.

Who did Lloyds take over before Bunnings took Lloyds over?
I can recall the old Mile End store being something else before it was Lloyds
