When will the tax bonus be paid?
From early April 2009, payments will be sent out progressively over six weeks to the 7.6 million eligible people who have already lodged last year’s tax return.
Cheque and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) postings will be distributed each business night until the initial run of 7.6 million has been completed.
All cheque and EFT payments will be made using a post code selection process that is randomly generated, ensuring all post codes are evenly distributed to each state and territory each night. For this reason and because of security concerns, we are not planning to publish a distribution schedule.

I tossed up whether to add a wink but I thought it was already obvious from past posts..
However, I have been informed a cheque for the $900.00 has arrived at the accountant's office for my wife's estate, because she paid some tax last year before she died.

You only get fined if you owed on any of the returns, it worked out well, we had been getting underpaid for our family tax benefit for a few years as they were deducting money based on estimations. We had a $25,000 debt to Centrelink, after I had lodged my returns, they paid us $17K, a 42K turnaround plus my returns.

All's well that ends well, if I had of realized that they were giving us more than $250 per fortnight less than what we were entitled to, I would've done it sooner, we had to sell our house and buy a cheaper one to afford the repayments.
