Yes played for Uni and SA

Unfortunately, and i have never dealt with him so this is speculation, we may have lost a good servant because it was too good and wouldn't play the political game.

Kimber is highly regarded as a Manager as well as a prosecutor. A rarity in that office.
Pallaras isolated himself from too many people, including his Masters. Building your own personal toilet as an ensuite was not good optics.
Having said that, the appointment is a Statutory one and the position reports to parliament, not the Government of the day. I admired his willingness to speak his mind. I also noted that another govt appointment was never chastised for speaking out against the govt - Monsignor Cappo. I also wish that the govt had given Pallaras more latitude to share his practical experience in tackling triads and how that experience might be useful in tackling OMGs. Unfortunately, they didn't seem interested and for a while, the A-G wouldn't even meet with him. All the best to Mr Pallaras and Mr Kimber.

Yep, Kimbers historically all come from St Igs - I was in the same year as Caroline. Adam was a year above me.

Blame it all on Today Tonight when they did their stories on the previous DPP Paul Rofe, spying on him having bets at the tab, buying scratchies and sitting at a cafe having his coffee.Maybe the government can sue channel 7 as Rofe was no aggravation. ;)

His late ditch attempt at sucking up via radio (such as Leon Byner) and print media journo's was so transparent that he actually did himself more harm. When you won't talk to the people who work for and with you, then this comes as no surprise.

Sorry Dedja should explain before Pallaras was appointed the previous person was Paul Rofe.Today Tonight ran this hilarious story over a few weeks how Rofe should be working in his office but they were filming him different times throughout the day either gambling at the tab or buying lottery tickets and scratchies, sitting down at a cafe and basically not working. He ended up getting such a hard time from Today Tonight that in the end he left.
