Coincidence, Centurion?
:D :D

Not sure about this, FC. It doesn't mention either of us as significant births by name, for one ;)

Kudos to mentioning The Eagles and Pink Floyd, though.

These are the ones i'm familiar with for 1972

- USSR beat USA to win Gold in Mens Basketball at Munich Olympics
- North beat Port for 2nd consecutive year in SANFL grand final :(
- Malcolm Blight won Magarey Medal
- ALP's "Its Time" tv ads
- Plane crash that was the basis for movie "Alive" occurred on my birthday - 13/10/72

wow does it actually end...sorry I gave up after about 10 minutes when it started randomly jumping from when I was 15 then 9 then 8 then 15 again then back to 1961.

What I remember it listing would be...

Bay of Pigs
101 Dalmations top selling movie
West side Story winning the Best Film Oscar
Best Actor was Maximillian Schell for Judgement At Nuremberg
Invention of optical discs
Vietnam War still going on
Algeria war ending
B-52 with 2 nukes crashed in N. Carolina
Dylan hitchhiking to New York
George Blake gets 42 years for spying

So it's been pretty much downhill ever since then :?

Rudolf Hess is found dead in his cell in Spandau Prison. Hess, 93, is believed to have committed suicide by hanging himself with an electrical flex. He was the last remaining prisoner at the complex, which is soon demolished.
