Nothing much happened in my life in 2010.

Got a Credit in Financial Accounting 1 at Uni. Lost 6.35 kg. Celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary (can't believe I forgot about that). That's about it really.

All I want to do in 2011 at the moment is continue passing all my subjects at Uni; hopefully get my weight down to 60 kg by this time next year; celebrate my husband's 50th birthday; and go to as many Norwood games as possible (and hopefully see them win a premiership).

2010 was both the Greatest year & the worst for different reasons.

In March, we made the local Basketball Grand Final, to be blown out in the 1st quarter and never be in the game.
April saw my sister get married.
The start of the season was a great 6-0 start, polling in the first 4 games (7 votes)
Left out of the initial SGL squad to play Whyalla, 2 team BOG's the following 2 weeks helped me get the call up.

Unfortunately just after this, my Business was struggling and eventually made the decision to close the doors. Quite a depressing time and the thought of it still hurts.

Played in the Northern Zone team, that's probably all I need to say on that.

Another few good games late in the season and in 2 weeks, Captain goes down for season with a knee. The following week I do my 1st ever Hamstring. This 1 weeker became 5.

In missing those games, I was extremely lucky to get enough votes to tie the Medal.
The following week we have an annual Team of the Year for Port Augusta, very proud to be named Centre and Captain (I'm not the Captain of my club)

Back in for the GF and was well underdone (no excuse) and we were beaten badly by 11 points.

Appointed the Playing/Coach for 2011 and this is my main goal for 2011.

Currently playing some good Basketball and looking forward to the Country Champs in January.

Highlight of 2010 - MetallicA

2010 highlights:

Getting engaged (and the party that followed)
Buying first house
Promotion at work
Attending two AFL grand finals
Seeing a handful of great concerts
Friend fighting off cancer
Staying alive

2010 lowlights:

The AFL grand final replay.
South Adelaide's dismal season. (again)
Ordinary 12 months for local cricket side.

So if you take away sport, it was a pretty good year 8)

2011:

Get married
Honeymoon- going o/seas for first time
Start some studying towards higher qualification (CPA etc)
Apart from those, more of the same really.
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

It's been a pretty 'run of the mill' year in 2010 for the wife and I, not too many highlights other than:

- Quit smoking - from a pack a day to cold turkey (haven't had a smoke now for close to 6 months :D )
- Central won another Premiership
- My wife got a promotion at work
- I got a (small) pay rise
- Spent our 1st Wedding Anniversary in the Clare Valley (the place we got married)
- Went to Port Lincoln for work - love it over there
- Adelaide Bite (baseball) playing in new ABL at the Parade
- Norwood Food & Wine Festival (the Parade is about 300m walking distance from our front door)
- Close friends finally had their first child after a long time trying
- My wife surprised me with an amazing Valentine's Day Lunch up in the Hills
- Brother got engaged
- Went to Clipsal 500 with my wife on her birthday and stayed for Hilltop Hoods concert
- Went to the McLaren Vale Day On the Green - Simply Red - with my wife

Lowlights of 2010:

- Had my first ever operation - full knee reconstruction
- Put on more weight from quitting smoking and not being able to excercise because of knee reco
- 2 close friends had major operations - 1 a knee replacement, the other a double hip replacement
- Mother-in-law went from bad to worse with her mental health issues
- Wife worked some crazy crazy hours and was stressed out to the maxxxxxxx even after the promotion
- Didn't have a 'holiday' as such - the Wedding Anniversary was only an overnight stay in Clare
- Being in pain and on crutches at Christmas
- Our cats were both sick at varying times throughout the year costing us much more in vet bills than I would have liked
- Not winning millions in X-Lotto ;)

Looking forward to 2011 being better than this year, even if just in a slight way, but will definately be taking the wife on a holiday...

2010:
What a busy year!! :-bd

* My youngest son made a state squad team in his chosen sport.
* I/We survived my daughter going through/completing year 12.
* My eldest son and partner blessed us with our first grandchild.
* My husband (finally) found a job/employment that he enjoys.
* We went on our first family holiday in 15 years.

All of these things made me very content throughout - so 2010 was a very good year to me.

2011:
My hopes for 2011 O:)

* That my eldest son is content in his new family and employment.
* That my daughter is accepted into the TAFE course that she has applied.
* That my youngest son applies himself at school - and continues to do well with his sport.
* That my husband is happy in his employment.
* A new car !!! :ympray:
* And just general good health and happiness for my family.
* To lose weight - (I'm pretty sure I say this every year...lol - but if I am going to be chasing around a toddler grandchild I want to be fitter - so I have much more determination this year)

I never ask for much - material things aren't the be all and end all for me, all I ever want is for my husband and kids to be happy - if the family is happy then I am very content with life.

I wish all my fellow forumites the best for 2011 and hope it brings you many a joy and satisfaction and that all your dreams come true @};-

2010 - Had alot of down moment in my private life over this year. What i mean by that is relationships as was with someone and it is quite comical the reason she walked. PM me if you want to know the reason .

But work has been ok. Got promotoed in some way to be reviewed mid next year. New car and spending time with mates was good.

2011 - To continue with my work and the rate i am going. To visit family during my holidays in febuary and have a decent rest and relax when on them. Last year i was so sick on the first few days of my holidays becasue i had not had a break for years. Look forward to working with some of the new staff here at work .

Mates - just keeping in touch with them
Relationships - Look forward to starting a fresh realtionship with a nice chicky babe in the early part of the new year :)

2010 - Spent close to half the year backpacking overseas. The other six months I was playing/coaching amateur footy.

2011 - Would be nice to jump on a plane and wander other parts of the globe, but have to be a realist for a while. Going to start saving for the wedding and planning it, but to balance that boring side of the year's equation I've promised myself I'll do Jiu Jitsu training once my wrist has fully healed.

Highs for me in 2010.

1st wedding anniversary. Was a great night out for dinner and to have no kids for the 1 nights was enjoyable.
Sis in law got engaged to a good bloke.
2 nephews born.
1 of my twins has started walking.
my 2 year old being out of nappies.
Mum being told they have removed all her cancer.

Lowlights

Losing cricket semi by a wicket/4balls.
Dad being diagnosed with Parkinson's after having his cancerous prostrate removed.
Mum being diagnosed with cancer.

Hoping for some a much better 2011 health wise for the family. Also to make amends for our loss last year in cricket would be great.

2010, a mixed year for me having retired in 2009, soon found life at home boring

However the Good:

Great to see my kids so involved in their school work and their own chosen sport
Enjoyed my first year as Junior President at the Broadview Football Club
Did a hell of alot of study and obtained various licences to enable me to open my own business

Downside: After having a growth of my neck diagnosed as a fungi only, to find the treatment didnt work and then got a 2nd opinion with horrid
results of what it really was

2011:

Hoping surgery in the new year is successful and that horrid disease is cut right out with a 100 percent success
For my kids to keep enjoying their schooling and sport
For my business to succeed, already looking very positive in that field
To have a great 20th year anniversary with Mrs Locky
To say happy and positive
Life is about moments, Create them

2010

highlight

road trip through to stawell - ballarat (sovereign hill) cruising down great ocean rd and had a chopper ride at the 12 apostles then onto Warrnambool and final stop was Mt Gambier

downside

A month off work (normally a highlight) but a good 2-3 weeks was in hospital after a technicality.

2011

get some more money into savings
pay more off on the mortgage (hopefully my own accord not too many rate rises)
get my home brew cranked up
get healthier
hopefully another holiday somewhere
my new greyhound hitting the race-track
