It's been virtually nameless for three months - but now Vegemite's new product that was named 'Name Me' has a new name - iSnack 2.0.

The announcement was made at quarter time during the AFL Grand Final clash at the MCG.

It comes after an Australia-wide competition was held to name the new product, which was launched on July 5.

The new product - which was the first new Vegemite in 85 years - was described as a "smooth velvety version of the original" - and much loved - Vegemite.

I haven't tried it, but from what those I know who have have reported, the main reaction will be "Who cares?!"

Quite simple, vegemite and cheddar cheese spread. I sometimes put vegemite and cream cheese spread on my toast, it saves me double-handling, the obvious name was cheesemite though.

I'm a cheese tragic, I have it on almost everything, steak, cut the lid off my pie and put some in there, all my vegies.

I thought of putting forward "Spread-gemite" but obviously that's too un-tech savvy for those ponces in charge ;-)
