Very strong info on Marshall Thompson Homes, not travelling well and are on COD with most suppliers. Could this be the end?

Apparently they invested in a complex O/S that went belly-up and never saw the money again

Sad if that is the case, they appear to make quite nice looking homes!

They do. I was very close to building with them.

AV Jennings retrenched a heap of people a few months back (including our customer rep), so the building industry in general is doing it tough.

AV Jennings have completely ballsed up a job for a mate of mine.

Unbelievably poor service from a company with such a good name. You pay big bucks for them too.

Yeah, we had our fair share of dramas with them. In particular, at admin level. Some absolute morons working in there. Tradies all seemed pretty good though, quality of work was ok.

Bloke next door to me built with them too. I know he is not happy with their efforts.

Could be the same bloke you know Booney...

It has been the trades that have been the problem with my friend.

Poor work,poor housekeeping.

He is having a major extension done and they are still living in the front of the house while the back is extended.

Ahh, different bloke then.

Guy next door built a new house with them, and he had quality issues.

Our houses were being built side-by-side, at basically the same time and stages, but we had different trades-people for the majority of our work.

We had 1 bloke paint our entire house, he had 3.

We are very happy with our paint job, he is not.
