I reckon you could get away with dressing as Saddam and his atrocities were committed in the past 30 years.
I think it's ridiculous and unless you had some sort of direct involvement with Hitler's tyranny, then you shouldn't get upset.

That's just the point BD. My father did have some direct involvement. He fought in WWII and was part of the 'clean up' operation in BergenBelsen. Some 52 million people lost thier lives in WWII and how many relatives, parents and granparents were affected by this is countless.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you about Saddam, Pol Pot, Stalin and all the other despotes that have wreaked death and destruction on thier own citizens, but I think when it comes to despotes, Hitler is top of the league and still carries a sence of outrage in anything that appears to make light of who he was and / or what he did.

Didn't mean to offend you mate, and like I said, those that had direct involvement have every right to kick up a fuss.
But a lot of people who do kick up a fuss were not affected in any way by Hitler.

No worries BD, not offended at all. Was thinking why people still get so eat up over Hitler as opposed to other murderous lunatics, and thought it is probably because he affected so many.

I think that fact that many of the atrocities took place in the "civilised" Western World has an influence in the level of revulsion. Who knows ??

Mohamed Sissoko came to the Liverpool Christmas party last year dressed as Osama Bin Laden.

Do we see the families of September 11 crying in uproar?

Does Liverpool have a strong connection with the families of 9/11?
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
