Postby wristwatcher » Fri May 31, 2013 10:35 am

MONDAY JULY 15th which is the 2nd Monday of the term 2 school holidays we are holding an AFL 9s Come n' try day for kids and families. The day will run from 10am-12.30pm with sausage sizzle at the conclusion of the games for all participants. The day will include 2 games of AFL 9s and all equipment will be provided. The cost of the day is only $10 for all participants (boys, girls and adults aged 8-65). Canteen facilities will also be available for the duration. AFL 9s "The game for everyone". Its fast , its fun and its a great way for families to play non contact football with and against each other.

The aim of this day is to create an oppurtunity to facilitate the birth of both a schools league and a families league. The families league which will be an off shoot of the current City Zone league that runs through Spring and Summer will be located at the Pultney Grammar playing fields in the Summer with 6 and 7pm timeslots on a night to be confirmed. The schools league is very much still in the planning stage and still needs several vital pieces of the puzzle to be confirmed by the office of rec and sport but it is aimed to commence late in term 3 at a venue and times to be confirmed.

A flier with all the details and link for registration will be uploaded in the next week. — at Payneham Norwood Union Football Club.
