These guys were actually petty thieves/crims. They were so "tough", that one of them pissed their pants when being arrested. These guys would have to be the bottom feeders of the criminal world. I would hope that "natural justice" is being handed out, by some solid old-school men, to these boys on a regular basis (as well as those filthy Lebbo gang-rapists).

Spot on Punky, they were all in such a state at the sentencing, they were all sent to different prisons to avoid being spotted and noted by other inmates as the five in question.

The movie The Boys with David Wenham was loosely based around the Anita Cobby murder.

Theres also a really good series (about 3 or 4 i think) of books titled "Never to be released", and I cant think off the top of my head who tehyre written by, but it documents all the murderers who are serving REAL life sentences and their crimes. I've read 3 of the books, pretty good reading....

Paul B. Kidd,I think his old man,or a friend was an investigator in alot of the cases.

Punky, the book that Blue Murder was based on is called 'In the line of Fire' and provides more information (naturally) than that excellent mini series.

The AFP organised for the writer, Ian David, to talk to Neddy Smith in a Sydney hotel room at weekends.

They wanted David to wear a wire but he refused.

Later, someone broke into his house and stole his computer, which had 20 years worth of scripts on the hard drive. It was the only thing taken from his house.

Who broke in, you ask? You guessed it...

The AFP.

(as well as those filthy Lebbo gang-rapists).

There's a fictionalized film version of this in the works to be directed by Michael Jenkins, of 'Blue Murder' fame.

But first he's doing a mini-series about the Bali bombings from a script by Ian David.

Hopefully it's somewhere near as good as 'Blue Murder.'

Just on the morning news- Tassie Maps house got raided by the AFP in a dawn raid. They didn't find anything, after turning the house upside down, but they're still questioning him. Apparently they stated something about "evidence" & "footy web-site" & "threat to national security", otherwise, they couldn't comment due to "operational procedures".

I may have "jumped the gun" (pardon the pun) when I rushed down to buy the Herald Sun this arvo- seeing as the latest hit took place last night, it's more likely to be in tomorrows papers...

The Herald Sun had 4-5 pages on the Mario Condella hit. Waiting for Mick Gatto's death notice to appear.... apparently, he has the Herald Sun on speed-dial, & it's not an underworld hit, unless Mick places a notice in. Allegedly, he's next on the "list"- apparently, there's 60 names on this list, so we're nearing the half way mark.
