sport on tv

i, like a lot of people have foxtel and find it annoying that they were not allowed to show the races live from flemington today, the same way they werent allowed to show the afl grand final live, and i guess the same thing will happen with the cup on tuesday, whats the go there?? i agree with the anti-siphoning laws but when these events are shown on free to air surely fox should be allowed to show them as well

I dont have foxtel, but i do empathise and agree with you - if it is on free to air then surely it should be shown on pay tv!?

Shits me even more when free to air have the first right to show stuff live and dont show it and Foxtel still can't show it, ie a lot of rugby league.

I agree with these comments, it is very frustrating the way simple solutions cannot be found for these stupid inconsistencies. I guess it is ego's, greed and plain incompetence getting in the way of common sense. I couldn't live without pay tv because of the current affairs, news and sports coverage.

i have setanta, and have since cancelled it. I rang up to cancel it, and the fella who answered the call basically refused to cancel it saying i could afford the $16 dollars a month for it, i had a good decent arguement and asked him was he my accountant, he was about to hang up after telling me i should just skip a lunch meal every week to afford it if i was in serious trouble, but i then asked to speak with his manager. The matter was sorted out within minutes....
