What would that cost at Dan Murphy's?

I've recently tried and bought a Totino Estate Pinot Grigio (Adelaide Hills), a Temple Bruer Chenin Blanc (Langhorne Creek) and a Sevenhill Verdelho.
All are nice and none of them expensive - around the $20 mark - from the outlet near the Chemist King at Frewville and at Stirling hotel outlet.
(I can't remember which came from where.)

Once Paid $30 for a bottle of wine.

Total waste of money.

Never again will i waste my money on expensive wine.

If you want to impress someone, there are plenty of $6 - $10 bottles out there with flash labels.

Buy the wine but keep the scotch in your boot for the afterparty... :partyman:
Smile :)

It's only Money $$$ :)

Incidentally, what's wrong with a bottle of Port for a gift?

Penfolds Bluestone Grand Tawny FTW. Should cost ~ $25, I think.

Thanks for the help, all. I went to Dans and got some Wirra Wirra church block. The shop guy I talked to was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful, so that was good.

Generally I think many inexpensive wines are as good or better than much more expensive, and heavily promoted, ones .
However, my local has just discounted my favourite champers (Billecart-Salmon) by $15 to $74.95, which tempts me.

The taste test is what matters, and labels don't impress me at all.
(The last time someone gave me a bottle of Veuve Clicquot I passed it on to someone else - it's over-promoted muck in my view.)
